On Wednesday night, visual artist Abby Sherrill facilitated the first Union Art Workshop of the semester. Sherrill led us in an exploration of sculpting wool through the felting process. Felting is an age-old textile procedure typically used to produce hats, slippers, and unique drapes and garments (Encylopedia Britannica). We created felted cacti, cats, succulents, flowers, and other fun objects. Peep the photos below and then check out the upcoming art workshops. Happy Friday!
